Very easy-to-read format. It details what was happening behind the scenes during the birth and struggles of Christianity in the first three centuries AD. Amazing encounters between the Romans and Christians.

Great book on History of Christians in Rome

This is the one of the best books I've read on early Christianity in the city of Rome. Very scholarly and Very readable. Another book on this subject is Peter Lampe's From Paul to Valentinus: Christians at Rome in the First Two Centuries; which is a little more technical.
